Our Process

At Westwood Builders, we believe the building experience should feel clear, organized, and genuinely enjoyable — not stressful or confusing. Whether we’re remodeling an existing home, building a new one, or creating an addition that looks like it’s always been there, our goal is the same: deliver a finished product that feels intentional, well-built, and worth the investment.

Our process is built around communication, detailed planning, and high standards at every phase. From the first conversation through the final walkthrough, you’ll always know what’s happening, what comes next, and what decisions need to be made. We don’t rush the important parts, and we don’t leave details to chance — because the details are what make a home feel truly finished.

Most importantly, we approach every project like we’re building it for ourselves. That means honest expectations, thoughtful coordination, and craftsmanship you can see and feel for years to come.

Process

1)

Pre-Construction/Planning

The first meeting is all about getting to know you and your project — your goals, budget, timeline, and what you want the end result to feel like. From there, we’ll build a plan around what’s most important to you.

2)

Build Phase

Once the planning is complete, this is where your project starts to take shape. Our team handles the day-to-day details and keeps everything moving forward, while keeping you updated along the way.

3)

Close-Out/Punchlist

As we near the end of the project, we shift our focus to the final details that make everything feel truly complete. We’ll walk through the home with you, create a clear punchlist, and take care of any remaining touch-ups or adjustments. Once everything is finished to our standards — and yours — we’ll wrap up the project, provide any final information you need, and make sure you feel confident moving forward in your new space.
